Funded by Advantage West Midlands and hosted by Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, Accelerate is committed to helping the West Midlands automotive supply sector meet the challenges posed by the severe economic downturn.

We are passionate about manufacturing and the important contribution it makes to the economy together with the benefits it brings in terms of value-added jobs, skills and innovation.

The pressure on the automotive industry is intense and by working in partnership with the Manufacturing Advisory Service - West Midlands and Business Link West Midlands, Accelerate endeavours to provide the best support package available to the industry.

The extension of Accelerate until March 2010 is therefore encouraging news for the industry and means we can continue to lobby effectively on behalf of all suppliers and develop the sector's long term future.

A succession of emergency advice forums as a response to the economic situation have proved invaluble in providing a picture of the difficulties faced by firms and have led to several new initiatives including a series of emergency advice surgeries where companies have received immediate help regarding the support available to them.

These forums take place on a regular basis so please contact us to find out where the next one will be.

As a valued and trusted broker to the auto supply sector, such initiatives will continue as will help accessing funding and advice on new incentives such as green manufacturing loans, business loans and MMRC support.
