Accelerate, the business support specialist for the automotive supply chain in the West Midlands, closed on March 31st 2010.

The initiative was first established in 1996 to help component manufacturers become more competitive in the global automotive market andÊworked to support companies in their quest to become more efficient through lean manufacturing, diversification and innovation.

To ensure that the automotive sector has an outlet for dedicated support of this nature the Manufacturing Advisory Service Ð West Midlands (MAS-WM) are currently holding discussions with AWM to develop an Automotive Cluster project.

Over the next three months they will be developing a proposal that allows a focused Automotive Sector support programme to be integrated with the standard MAS offer.
