On Boxing Day 2004, a huge earthquake hit the Indian Ocean. The resulting tsunami caused devastation across Asia. In response, Caramba made a cash donation to the Tsunami appeal through Plan UK.
Important work is ongoing and will need to continue for many years to come. So we at Caramba have made a longer-term commitment, through the sponsorship of a child in the Philippines. Arni Mechaela Poblon, a 10 year old school girl living in a small rural village in Samar West.
Plan UK provides assistance to communities in over 40 of the world's poorest countries In the wake of the tsunami, they were well positioned to provide immediate help and are continuing to provide assistance through long-term community projects.

Based in Harborne, Caramba is an independent, creative marketing consultancy, with a broad team of experienced people.
Our new media department design simple, easy to use websites right through to creating and hosting complex and multi-layered sites that offer full shopping cart capabilities.
We are now recruiting for a Junior Web Designer / Developer. The position would represent an ideal first job for a new graduate or a next step up the career ladder for someone already employed within the industry.
Technically you will have a good understanding of website & application development, in order to:
- Develop new web applications
- Write code to support, extend and tune existing applications
- Work with external websites
Your skill set will include:
- HTML, CSS & Javascript
- PHP, MySQL
Some knowledge of the following would be beneficial:
- Codeigniter PHP Framework
- Adobe Photoshop
